Pony Day

I had quite a fun time with Esperanza and Brego yesterday! I had planned on riding Esperanza, but she was very tense, so after I saddled her up, we strolled leisurely around the neaighborhood. She seemed to enjoy it a lot. She threw a fit about the saddle, but as soon as I showed her that I wasn't tolerating her kicks, nips, etc., she calmed down--so much that she allowed me to put on her bridle without any fuss!
Sophie and I were bored later in the afternoon and I was thinking about riding horses, when I looked at her and said, "I should put you on a horse." I had meant some other day, but 2 seconds later, she has her shoes on and is jumping up and down in excitement. How could I have said no? We went out; I put a halter on Brego and tossed Sophie up there, telling her to hold on tight to his mane. She loved it! Brego wasn't so enthused--I doubt he even knew there was a human being on his back--but he was great. I led him around a few small circles while she clung to his neck. She looked so cute :) I should've taken a picture. Oh well, we'll just have to do it again.

Puppies!!

Violet had 6 little "shmultzy" puppies on the third! They are sooooo cute!! We named them Puck, Trinity, Hamish, Lily, Giselle, and Alex. It was quite a rocky delivery at first, and Violet had the first 4 at the vet. But, everything turned out fine.

Ice Ice Baby!

Last Saturday was WINTER FORMAL!! Wooooooo!!! It was an absolute blast! I went with Devin Carroll -- he and Adam Williams are superb dancers! I do not have pictures at the moment, but I will soon!

Bravin' the Bronc!

Yes, that is me on top of Etoile! I've been waiting for this for 2 years and 7 months!!! (plus 11 more months if you count the pregnancy) It went alot smoother than i thought! My neighbor came over, gave me a few pointers, and kept her in control. I mounted and dismounted several times, but she didn't seem to care a bit after the first time! We were all very surprised--expecting her to make like her namesake (shooting star)! Haha!! It was a fairly smooth ride, and I can't wait to get back on!!!

Homecoming!!!

saturday was HoMeCoMiNg!!! my date was Colton Pitcher! my mom was out of town that weekend, so i had to do my own hair--but it turned out pretty well, i think =)

for our day activity we went to the zoo! it was a blast! we were gonna run around the lion pen, but they didn't quite look up to playing with us. hahaha! from that day i learned 2 things: ryan lewis can run 14 mph, and rainbow snow-cones are yummy until the flavors get mixed together into gray mush~~bleh!

the dance itself was a blast! dress: Dillard's -- jacket: Target -- shoes: Payless -- Colton carrying me so i wouldn't have to walk in my painful shoes until i could take them off: priceless! I am a horrible dancer, but so was everyone in my group so i didn't feel so bad =D it was so fun jamming out! even slow dances were wild! colton and i started many random games of couples' tag just to confuse everybody and would gallop around the gym until the dense crowds would kill our momentum! fun fun!

sorry i waited sooo long to say anything! hahaha just thought i'd share the fact that for the first time (a couple months ago) i cut my hair short for the first time! i finally got a decent picture so here you are! oh btw after a year and a half i decided to dye my hair a color other than red =P

Argh!!!!

Being a pirate, what an appropriate title! haha!! we went on a trip to disneyland this last weekend; it was soooooo much fun! i got to hang with my best pirate mate, Liz Gibson!! since she knows everything about disneyland, and has family that works there, i was treated to an awesome day through the eyes of a cast member! we had a blast!!!

Mom got in free on saturday, it being her birthday! we've found that our family is the perfect size for disneyland; we completely fill a boat on splash mountain and a rocket on space mountain! welll.... appearantly the pictures aren't on the computer yet.... so i'll get them to u later!!!

overall, it was a really fun trip! on the way home, we stopped at the COACH OUTLET!!!! mom got a couple of purses, while adrian and i got shooooooooooes!!!!! they're so cute!!!!

Girls's Camp!

ok so this was my first year as a YCL!!!! Ah! i was sooo nervous but it was a lot of fun! i thought i was going to have my hands full with 7 girsl and no partner! but they were such angels! i love them all to death! It took me a while to get all the names straight :P but i got pretty good at that by the end! *Alex, Amance, Sandra, Taylor, Caroline, Michaela, and Katie*
it was a llllllloooooooooooooooonnnnnnnngggggg week i must say! we left Monday morning and stayed a night at "Sitta Fitta's" cabin. We sewed flowers, played games, toasted/burned marshmallows, and stayed up until 12:30 watching "Raise your Voice" (very interesting movie).
Tuesday was pretty uneventful. we set up camp, then me and my roomies listened to "Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites" on tape. We finished the whole book in one day!
Wednesday we helped our girls set up their camp and went for a wimpy little hike. All the first years were not very impressed. :) Our tent collapsed sometime during the hike. I'm sooooo grateful to Pres. Rapier and Tanner Jones for helping us fix it!
The rest of the week passed w/o much more excitment. we listened to the 2nd book. Jennifer started the 3rd book, but the rest of us were becoming disinterested in the series. during most of my free time i hung out with my assigned ward, learning how to play the cup game and eating all their food :P Cody was flirting with my tent buddy's brother, who recently got off his mission! she claims she's not interested, but i saw that chemistry! *mischievous grin* mwuaahahaha!
By Saturday, despite how much fun i had, i was home sick. after saying good-bye to my girls, i later heard that i was loved by everyone in my assigned ward. awww..... *tear* i'll miss them so much!
we finally got home and went to Bridget's baptism! Jeff came! *i missed him so much!* I'm so proud of Bridget! i feel so OLD though! 8 years ago, i was her age.....wow. i nearly cried during her confirmation.
after the baptism, we rushed off to Bridget and Sophie's dance recital! they were so adorable up there! Sophie seems to have completely gotten over the stage fright of 2 years ago! she owned the stage during her numbers!

Prom!!!!

Last night, I went to the Mormon Prom with Jeff Stewart!!! He looked hott, i must say!! ;D our group consisted of Jeff, his siblings Jessi and Mason, Jeremy, and me! apart from some dress mishaps, it was a nearly perfect evening!!! I was really surprised to see so many people I knew! the dance was held at an ice rink decked out in medieval decorations. The ice was replaced with astroturf =P
For our day activity, we went to Freestone Park. We amused ourselves with sprawling out on the grass, playing frisbee, and terrorizing ducklings (unintentionally, of course). It was a very fun day overall!

Is Love a feeling or a choice?

So my seminary teacher asked us that question a couple days ago and it's had me thinking ever since. i'm just curious as to what your guys' answer is. =) and you can't say both. just choose one.

Morp

OK! I was supposed to go to Morp with my friend, Blaine Stewart.... He got sick sick sick!!! =( So DAY OF he tells me he can't go. And i'm out of a date! My mom and i call anyone and everyone to find a replacement. No luck. I finally decide to take Blaine up on his offer to set me up with one of his friends. He finds someone, gives me the address and a phone number and we head out to pick up the guy...whom i had never met before!

His name's Derek Partridge. Blaine said he was tall, but I didn't think he was THAT tall!!! W/o my heels on, i didn't even reach his shoulder! So, yes, i did "probably the most random, spontaneous thing [I'll] ever do!" But it was so worth it! We had a blast!! He's a real fun guy!

After the dance, we went to my house to celebrate Michelle Moyer's birthday! Aaron Webb decided to start "truth or dare" so I dared Derek to run outside and act beastly to a passing car; it was hilarious!! My first dance AND first blind date: big success!!! I loved it!!!

Our group was really small: just me, Derek, Aaron Webb, and Michelle Moyer!

16 candles!

I am 16!!!! Woohoo!!!! I can date and, as of today, *legally* drive!!!!!!!! yes, i got my permit today!!!!

i had a joint party with jaron ellingson last friday! it was an 80's dance party! *woot woot! *we had a blast!!! here are a few pics!

Seussical!

As you might have noticed, I changed my layout to show my excitement to be in Mesa High's production of Seussical! I'm very happy to say that i'm playing Mrs. Mayor! =D My husband, Mr. Mayor is the insanely cheerful Michael Thurber! Woohoo! I'm sorry but our wedding was small... very small! Haha! We have tons of fun being Whos! My son, Jojo is being played by the hilarious Paul Thompson! We aren't quite sure how that worked out, becuz he's older and a bit taller than me.... I think everyone is, though! Haha!! Our show premiers in April. Please come!!!!

Rock on

I love Rock Band! It's just about the funnest game ever!! I don't really like the guitar, though. It was pretty entertaining, actually. After an hour of playing, my fingers were sore, so I switched to lefty on the last song haha!! I'm a lot better at drums; they're so fun! My friend was being mean and put me on hard on one of the more challening songs! I made him do the bass pedal for me though. =P The song's called Enter Sandman. If I hadn't watched someone do it before, I would've done worse than I did! Haha!! So, ya! That was last night's adventure!

Microwave

Lovebirds make many weird sounds... They squawk, they chirp, they click, they whistle. I've even taught my birds how to make kissy sounds and whistle "Pretty bird."

Lately, Coco's been doing this weird low kind of sound. I figured it was natural until this afternoon.... I was heating up soup in the microwave, pressing the buttons, when I hear Coco making that sound. Hmmm. It sounded oddly like the sound the microwave was making. So I keep pressing buttons. Beep. "beep, beep!" Beep, beep. "beep beep beep!" Haha! I got a kick out of that and thought you guys might too.

Twilight

As you should know (and if you didn't~~ GOOD MORNING!) Twilight came out this last friday!!!!!!!!!!! well, duh, i went to the midnight showing!!!!! it was SOOOOOOOOOO fun! half the excitement was just waiting for it! all day i was bouncing around with anxiety, so much that it was impossible to take a nap before the show!
me and a bunch of friends went like 3 hours early to beat the lines. ha, ya we beat them! our line was so short it was weird! we all got bored, so we walked to walmart and played around. =P
by the time we got back, they had let everyone in the theater and we were out of luck trying to find good seats. haha! so we got the 2nd row! woohoo!!!! ya, i started getting dazed after a while into the movie..... haha! oh well! it was a great movie!
i'm not going to spoil it for anyone, but i'd just like to say that i was a bit disappointed in edward and rosalie, but charlie and alice were perfect! haha!

Special Delivery

Sunday morning, Violet had her puppies!!!! (a week early, too!) They're all healthy and adorable!

Wow, she looks pretty scary there! Haha!

Westwood Meet!

Well, this last wednesday was our last dual meet of the season. *tear* (Oh well, city's next week!) Anyway, we went up against Westwood and DOMINATED!! Bryce and Kevin swept the boys' ranks, and Katelyn, Tiffany and I took 3rd 4th and 5th! Surprisingly, I was the one who got 3rd!!! I got a score of 105.95 - my highest before that was about an 89.9! Woohoo!! I'm excited that we did so well, given that 3 of our girls were injured and 3 boys unable to compete! Go us! =P

K so we're supposed to be jumping.... hmmm let's try again...
