Well, this last wednesday was our last dual meet of the season. *tear* (Oh well, city's next week!) Anyway, we went up against Westwood and DOMINATED!! Bryce and Kevin swept the boys' ranks, and Katelyn, Tiffany and I took 3rd 4th and 5th! Surprisingly, I was the one who got 3rd!!! I got a score of 105.95 - my highest before that was about an 89.9! Woohoo!! I'm excited that we did so well, given that 3 of our girls were injured and 3 boys unable to compete! Go us! =P

Wow... ya I forgot about that part.....
As many of you know, I joined Mesa High's dive team!! Ya, Josh Lindblom invited me to join a couple days after school started; they were in MAJOR need of more people. So i thought, That sounds really fun! I wanna try it out! So I do....
First day we learn the art of the hurdle. Cool. Simple. Next step is to try it out. Gulp. Actually jump off? Ya when I signed up I must have forgotten how deathly afraid I am of heights and wobbly surfaces. So I give it a go. It's worse than i thought! AH! By the end of the day I sorta got used to it. Unfortunately, I forgot that if you don't make sure all the water is out of your ears, it HURTS!!!!! Ya.... It was out the next morning, but I felt nauseous. A side effect? Mental Note: DON'T FORGET THAT AGAIN!!!!!
I was back up and running the next day, so all was good, right? Uh maybe. It was time to move on. Back jumps. *blood curling shriek* Yes, I had to stand on the edge of the board on the balls of my feet and hop off, constantly worried about falling off and hitting something somewhere. EEK! But guess what! I DIDN'T DIE! Miracle? I think so. Ha ha!
So here I am after about a month: still alive and actually jumping off the death board of my own free will! Of course there have been other obstacles. For instance, inward dives. *shudder* Deceptively easy dives where you're supposed to jump off the board backwards, throw your head froward and hope to make it into the water head first. Hmm. For some reason it's incredibly difficult for me. However, I have recently found out that closing my eyes as I throw eliminates the fear of hitting my head on the board! Wonderful!
Yes, diving is full of surprises. But the adrenaline really keeps me going. =D Fun, fun! I'll try to get pictures! Stay tuned for more updates!

It was love at first croak....
Just last night, I went running with my friend Josh. The park was flooded, so we zig-zagged up and down the hill all around the perimeter of the lake. We got tired about half-way around, so we continued at a walk. That's when we heard it. It sounded like a dying duck! We found that imitating made it croak again. So, desperate to come to this poor duck's rescue, we all kept croaking until josh and I finally located it right by the water's edge. However, we couldn't see anything in the dark. I took a step closer, and suddenly, a toad hopped into the lake a foot away from my face! I screamed and hit my head as i fell to the ground laughing. We followed the frog and I miraculously caught it with my semi-disabled hand! We took it back to the car (making sure to keep him wet) and went to Josh's house in hopes of finding an aquarium. =) In the meanwhile, Josh cut open an empty water jug with a sword and we stuck him in there. He put up a really good fight, but he eventually calmed down enough to where I could pick him up and he'd sit quietly in my hand! Well, the aquarium plan fell through, so I took a picture:

and Josh took him home. He must have liked us very much, because Josh said it took at least five minutes of just sitting at the edge of the water until he finally jumped into the water! =) We decided to name him Jeremiah Trevor Terasuki! We will miss him!

At last!!
I know I'm probably boring you guys, talking about my finger all the time, but I have GOOD NEWS!!! The cast is coming off in 4 DAYS!!!!! After 3 weeks of having this club attached to my hand, I'm finally going to be FREE!!!!! No more: typing with my 4th finger on my lefty, sores and blisters on my righty from trying to do everything one-handed, shampooing my hair with one hand, looking like i'm about to shoot someone (Haha!!), playing the same song on the piano over and over and over and over......... And I get to: play more songs!!!!, ride Brego, wiggle my fingers, scratch my hand, put on a puppet show (no fat characters! =P), do handstands and cartwheels, stunt in cheer, catch...things, and, of course, do more backhandsprings!!!!!! Woohoo!!! No, I am not afraid of them. I'm only more eager to get better at them! (which will take practice, and hopefully no more broken bones! Haha!!)
