Rock on
I love Rock Band! It's just about the funnest game ever!! I don't really like the guitar, though. It was pretty entertaining, actually. After an hour of playing, my fingers were sore, so I switched to lefty on the last song haha!! I'm a lot better at drums; they're so fun! My friend was being mean and put me on hard on one of the more challening songs! I made him do the bass pedal for me though. =P The song's called Enter Sandman. If I hadn't watched someone do it before, I would've done worse than I did! Haha!! So, ya! That was last night's adventure!

Microwave
Lovebirds make many weird sounds... They squawk, they chirp, they click, they whistle. I've even taught my birds how to make kissy sounds and whistle "Pretty bird."
Lately, Coco's been doing this weird low kind of sound. I figured it was natural until this afternoon.... I was heating up soup in the microwave, pressing the buttons, when I hear Coco making that sound. Hmmm. It sounded oddly like the sound the microwave was making. So I keep pressing buttons. Beep. "beep, beep!" Beep, beep. "beep beep beep!" Haha! I got a kick out of that and thought you guys might too.

Twilight
As you should know (and if you didn't~~ GOOD MORNING!) Twilight came out this last friday!!!!!!!!!!! well, duh, i went to the midnight showing!!!!! it was SOOOOOOOOOO fun! half the excitement was just waiting for it! all day i was bouncing around with anxiety, so much that it was impossible to take a nap before the show!
me and a bunch of friends went like 3 hours early to beat the lines. ha, ya we beat them! our line was so short it was weird! we all got bored, so we walked to walmart and played around. =P
by the time we got back, they had let everyone in the theater and we were out of luck trying to find good seats. haha! so we got the 2nd row! woohoo!!!! ya, i started getting dazed after a while into the movie..... haha! oh well! it was a great movie!
i'm not going to spoil it for anyone, but i'd just like to say that i was a bit disappointed in edward and rosalie, but charlie and alice were perfect! haha!
everyone, GO SEE IT!!!!

Westwood Meet!
Well, this last wednesday was our last dual meet of the season. *tear* (Oh well, city's next week!) Anyway, we went up against Westwood and DOMINATED!! Bryce and Kevin swept the boys' ranks, and Katelyn, Tiffany and I took 3rd 4th and 5th! Surprisingly, I was the one who got 3rd!!! I got a score of 105.95 - my highest before that was about an 89.9! Woohoo!! I'm excited that we did so well, given that 3 of our girls were injured and 3 boys unable to compete! Go us! =P

Wow... ya I forgot about that part.....
As many of you know, I joined Mesa High's dive team!! Ya, Josh Lindblom invited me to join a couple days after school started; they were in MAJOR need of more people. So i thought, That sounds really fun! I wanna try it out! So I do....
First day we learn the art of the hurdle. Cool. Simple. Next step is to try it out. Gulp. Actually jump off? Ya when I signed up I must have forgotten how deathly afraid I am of heights and wobbly surfaces. So I give it a go. It's worse than i thought! AH! By the end of the day I sorta got used to it. Unfortunately, I forgot that if you don't make sure all the water is out of your ears, it HURTS!!!!! Ya.... It was out the next morning, but I felt nauseous. A side effect? Mental Note: DON'T FORGET THAT AGAIN!!!!!
I was back up and running the next day, so all was good, right? Uh maybe. It was time to move on. Back jumps. *blood curling shriek* Yes, I had to stand on the edge of the board on the balls of my feet and hop off, constantly worried about falling off and hitting something somewhere. EEK! But guess what! I DIDN'T DIE! Miracle? I think so. Ha ha!
So here I am after about a month: still alive and actually jumping off the death board of my own free will! Of course there have been other obstacles. For instance, inward dives. *shudder* Deceptively easy dives where you're supposed to jump off the board backwards, throw your head froward and hope to make it into the water head first. Hmm. For some reason it's incredibly difficult for me. However, I have recently found out that closing my eyes as I throw eliminates the fear of hitting my head on the board! Wonderful!
Yes, diving is full of surprises. But the adrenaline really keeps me going. =D Fun, fun! I'll try to get pictures! Stay tuned for more updates!

Oh, I'm sure in a few weeks I'll be complaining of overwork, but for now, I am totally excited!

It was love at first croak....
Just last night, I went running with my friend Josh. The park was flooded, so we zig-zagged up and down the hill all around the perimeter of the lake. We got tired about half-way around, so we continued at a walk. That's when we heard it. It sounded like a dying duck! We found that imitating made it croak again. So, desperate to come to this poor duck's rescue, we all kept croaking until josh and I finally located it right by the water's edge. However, we couldn't see anything in the dark. I took a step closer, and suddenly, a toad hopped into the lake a foot away from my face! I screamed and hit my head as i fell to the ground laughing. We followed the frog and I miraculously caught it with my semi-disabled hand! We took it back to the car (making sure to keep him wet) and went to Josh's house in hopes of finding an aquarium. =) In the meanwhile, Josh cut open an empty water jug with a sword and we stuck him in there. He put up a really good fight, but he eventually calmed down enough to where I could pick him up and he'd sit quietly in my hand! Well, the aquarium plan fell through, so I took a picture:
and Josh took him home. He must have liked us very much, because Josh said it took at least five minutes of just sitting at the edge of the water until he finally jumped into the water! =) We decided to name him Jeremiah Trevor Terasuki! We will miss him!

At last!!
I know I'm probably boring you guys, talking about my finger all the time, but I have GOOD NEWS!!! The cast is coming off in 4 DAYS!!!!! After 3 weeks of having this club attached to my hand, I'm finally going to be FREE!!!!! No more: typing with my 4th finger on my lefty, sores and blisters on my righty from trying to do everything one-handed, shampooing my hair with one hand, looking like i'm about to shoot someone (Haha!!), playing the same song on the piano over and over and over and over......... And I get to: play more songs!!!!, ride Brego, wiggle my fingers, scratch my hand, put on a puppet show (no fat characters! =P), do handstands and cartwheels, stunt in cheer, catch...things, and, of course, do more backhandsprings!!!!!! Woohoo!!! No, I am not afraid of them. I'm only more eager to get better at them! (which will take practice, and hopefully no more broken bones! Haha!!)

Happy 4th!!!
Hey everybody! Happy Independence day! I changed my layout to fit the occasion (just in case you didn't notice! Haha!!
I'm am truely happy to be living in this free country. What a wonderful land it is, too! I hope we never lose our patriotism.
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, while the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

It could be worse, or could it??
here's the latest developement on the finger incident...... sorry, i'm not even bothering with capital letters, it's too hard! today i had a doctor's appointment...... even though i have the tiniest chip on my knuckle, they put a cast on me! ugh! ugh! triple ugh! this means no stunting, no tumbling, one-handed typing, and awkward one-handedness for the next 3 WEEKS!!! to ruin my life further, cheer camp is in TWO weeks. ya. enough said, i'm miserable!!!!!!
however, on the bright side, it can be used as a club! hahaha!!!!Friday, June 20, 2008
the diagnosis
well, as i said, i got an x-ray this morning...... turns out i did break it after all! i have an avulsion fracture. i don't know exactly what that is, but i'll be finding out more on monday. 'til then my finger is to remain in this awkward brace. dang. with it on, piano playing just doesn't work!!!

look back, jump up! wait what???
I was at my tumbling class, attempting backhandsprings (and failing miserably due to my newly aquired habit of twisting in the air). well this one lady was helping me, and she told me to concentrate on looking at the back wall as i jumped. well, neither of us were prepared for me to forget all else!! the result was a burning pain in my middle finger! OUCH!!!! ya..... not fun! so i had it buddy taped to both neighboring fingers. that helped alot. however, i now realize that i am excessively limited. i never knew i depended so much on my left hand! piano playing is weird, but i am contented for now with using my pinky and thumb for everything! haha!!! my hand is pretty flexible! =D
well, today my mom began to think that maybe the knuckle is fractured. (rolling eyes) that means a trip to the doctor, x-rays, and more pain. ugh!! so we went to the doctor. i have to get an x-ray tomorrow and until we know what's wrong, i have to wear a dorky brace on my finger!! haha!!! oh well. i'll keep ya posted! ;P

1985
I've discovered my new theme song!! 1985, Brilliant! I did some "soul searching" with my mom, and my eyes were opened to 80's "techno-glam pop"!! It's amazing! I can't believe it went out of style!! I'm on a mission to resurrect it from the graveyard of old, yet modern, rock ballads. Each of these has a message that still rings true and speaks to the youth of today! LONG LIVE GLAM POP!!! Check out my latest fad! Flock of Seagulls, Dead or Alive, Def Leppard, A-ha!, Stray Cats, and Adam Ant!!!!! (and others)
P.S.
I nearly peed my pants laughing so hard when watching this! Enjoy!!!
Also check out Safety Dance by Men Without Hats! (This one is my 2nd favorite!!!!)

Prancing Ponies
As you all should know, our backyard is home to 3 B-E-A-Utiful horses: Brego, the grayish one with the big nose, Esperanza, the fat brown one =), and Etoile, the short one with a shooting star on her forehead!
At the moment, I am undergoing the HUGE task of: duh duh DUH!!!! *scream* training Brego to be respectful and obedient! Incredibley hard, I know. Yeah, it's not going all that well......... However, with the help of 6 horse training videos, my dad, and some awesome kinda-not-really horse whispering skills, I know I will (eventually) succeed! *applause* Haha! No, really. This horse prances around the pasture night and day like the King of Sheba! He's a real sweetheart (sometimes). That's why I'm not giving up. When his head shrinks down a few sizes, we're going to start show jumping! Woot woot! It shouldn't be too much trouble for him, he was born leapig over logs! (It's a good thing he's stopped the habit, otherwise the neighbors would be catching sight of him in their front yards!)
Etoile is now over a year old. Time really has flown by! This is her when she's just a two months old. Hahaha!! What a dork! (Note to self: there's a desperate need for current pictures!) She's shedding out for the last time and sadly, she isn't chocolate brown like we'd hoped. Instead she's just slightly darker than her mom, which is ok. We might still have her show name be Godiva Dream (in case she ever shows), just because I like that name! =D
Esperanza has not been ridden in about 3 months. Daring souls are welcome to attempt to ride her! Hahaha! Ok she's not THAT wild, but still. I'M not climbing on her first!

S'mores
I have officially graduated from 9th grade and the prison they call Taylor Jr. High! Woot woot! Ok it wasn't THAT bad, but it's steadily getting worse. I feel bad for the new seventh graders and current students..........
Well, the last day of school amidst our celebrating, my best friend and I finally came to the realization that we are finally SOPHMORES!!!!!!! And, being as crazy as we are, we decided that the proper name for us specifically would be "s'mores" because we are yummy, sweet, and quite delicious looking! Hahaha!!!
